What is a Death Cafe? A Death Cafe is a social franchise. Hosts/facilitators sign up and follow principles and guidelines while using the name Death Cafe.

Our objective is 'to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives'. A Death Cafe is a group directed discussion of death with no agenda, objectives or themes. It is a discussion group rather than a grief support or counselling session. The evening is a lot like any other group discussion you've been to, except we talk about DEATH and all things death related. Conversations are free flowing and the evening doesn't have a set agenda.
